About Snowshoe Mountain

Snowshoe Mountain offers far more than its renowned skiing, snowboarding, and cosmic snowtubing. Adventure seekers can enjoy off-road tours, snowmobiling, e-biking, world-class downhill mountain biking, horseback riding, guided fly fishing, and disc golf. Relaxation is also on the menu with yoga, The Escape Room, Split Rock Pools, and Shavers Lake with lake inflatables. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at The Raven Golf Course, and music lovers can catch seasonal festivals—all set across 11,000 acres of West Virginia paradise.

Beyond Snowshoe, the surrounding area offers even more to explore. Just a short drive away, you can enjoy the Greenbrier River Trail & Greenbrier River, Green Bank Telescope, Cass Railroad State Park, The Mountain Music Trail, Watoga State Park, Beartown State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, and more. For a change of pace, visit the charming Greenbrier Valley, about an hour and a half away. Here you’ll find The Greenbrier Resort (America’s oldest resort) in White Sulphur Springs, the vibrant small town of Lewisburg with fantastic restaurants and shopping, plus outdoor activities and local events—perfect additions to your West Virginia adventure.

If you’re exploring further, the Canaan Valley area is about two hours from Snowshoe. Along the way, you can detour to Seneca Rocks and Timberline, and once you arrive to enjoy the stunning beauty of the valley, including Blackwater Falls State Park, by the end, you’ll have had a truly unforgettable West Virginia adventure.

About Hatfield McCoy Trails

The Hatfield McCoy Trails (HMT) is a collection of systems that is located in southern West Virginia. It is open to riders of ATVs, SXS, Dirt Bikes and OHVs. HMT boasts the largest off-road vehicle trail system in the country, and one of the largest in the world, with over 800 miles of mapped trails within ten distinct systems. The Hatfield McCoy Trails is professionally managed, and difficulty levels are clearly marked using a familiar ski-type grading system. Green = Easy, Blue= More Difficult, Black = Most Difficult, Double Black = Expert Only.

Our accommodation, The Farm, is located just a 7-minute ATV ride to the Ivy Branch Trails system

Pet Policy

Elevation Vacation Rentals offers pet-friendly properties! Pet Friendly properties include 11 Beech, Land's End 10, and Sunrise 1 are restricted to DOGS only. 

All pet-friendly properties require a non-refundable fee and require the pets to be crated when the guests are out. We do have a limit of 2 pets per home. Pets are subject to the Damage Deposit Policy. Fees vary based on property. Please include the Pet Add-On at checkout for pet accessibility. "Pets" is restricted to dogs only.

Certified Medical Pets - Only units specifically listed as Pet-Friendly allow pets. Only certified medical animals are permitted in non-pet-friendly units, but some units are restricted due to owner allergies. Please contact us for a full list of requirements and information. Bringing a certified medical animal without proper notification and documentation will be treated as a violation of our pet policy.
